We develop models for hydrology,
hydrodynamics and water quality prediction

Our models...

  • OpenWQ is a modular water quality model that extends hydrological simulations to biogeochemical and pollutant transport processes.
SUMMA-OpenWQ is a flexible hydrological modeling framework for simulating land surface and watershed processes integrated with OpenWQ
  • MizuRoute-OpenWQ is a river routing model that translates runoff into streamflow across river networks integrated with OpenWQ
  • PULSE is a numerical model for the simulation of snowpack solute dynamics to improve the prediction of runoff ionic pulses (acid flush) during snowmelt.
  • FLUXOS & FLUXOS-OpeWQ is a hydrodynamic model that solves the 2D shallow water PDEs that account for inertial (local and convective), pressure, gravity, and friction forces (momentum balance). The model can capture backwater effects (unlike the kinematic or diffusion waves). This is critical to simulate low-relief terrains.
  • CRHM-WQ is a hydrological modelling platform specially designed for cold regions and has water quality and sediment erosion modules
